This entry is just going to be a quick one. I was reading Gizmodo and there was an article about this "fryer" that uses only 1 tbsp of oil. In the comments someone gave this recipe on how to make the best baked fries. I tried it and they turned out really good. Cassie liked them more then i did, but i did like them.
Ingredients
- Potatoes
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 8.5 cups water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp seasoning mix (i use this mix a lot as you probably noticed :))
- salt
- Cut the potatoes into fries, i made discs this time but you can do the sticks if you want
- In a large bowl mix vinegar and water
- Soak fries for 30-40 minutes.
- Remove fries and place them in a salad spinner. Spin dry, then pat dry to ensure there is no outside moisture.
- Toss in a bowl with oil and seasoning mix
- Spray a sheet pan with some cooking spray and bake the fries, in a single layer, for 20 minutes at 450 degrees, making sure to "toss" the fries halfway through cooking to prevent sticking.
- After you take them out of the oven, sprinkle with salt.
