Crispy Baked Fries

This entry is just going to be a quick one.  I was reading Gizmodo and there was an article about this "fryer" that uses only 1 tbsp of oil.  In the comments someone gave this recipe on how to make the best baked fries. I tried it and they turned out really good. Cassie liked them more then i did, but i did like them.

Ingredients
  • Potatoes
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 8.5 cups water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp seasoning mix (i use this mix a lot as you probably noticed :))
  • salt
Directions
  1. Cut the potatoes into fries, i made discs this time but you can do the sticks if you want
  2. In a large bowl mix vinegar and water
  3. Soak fries for 30-40 minutes.
  4. Remove fries and place them in a salad spinner. Spin dry, then pat dry to ensure there is no outside moisture.
  5. Toss in a bowl with oil and seasoning mix
  6. Spray a sheet pan with some cooking spray and bake the fries, in a single layer, for 20 minutes at 450 degrees, making sure to "toss" the fries halfway through cooking to prevent sticking.
  7. After you take them out of the oven, sprinkle with salt.
